Our client Tremco CPG (Construction Products Group) is a manufacturer of building materials. We had previously worked on designing several websites for their different products, and for this project they hired us to design a website application where building material industry professionals could find everything they need to complete a construction project.

This website application would allow them to explore the wide range of products that our client manufactures, guide them through their search and provide them with all the specification documents, installation guides and all the existing resources they could need in order to use those products for their projects.

This project is an application within our client’s existing website, so we already had a good idea of the visual style it would have. Most of the project was focused on the functionality due to its complexity. We wanted to create a submittal builder that was better than any other in order to generate value for our client’s customers, who are professionals in the building materials industry.

We created wireframes and designs as a team, and then I had to build the prototype that connected all the application screens. This was an intricate task since all the designs had to be perfectly linked for the prototype to function correctly. The design phase has been finalized and we are currently working on the hand-off to the development team.

Final Prototype

After our team finalized the designs, I was tasked with creating the prototype that would connect all the screens within the application. This was an intricate task because of the complex functionality, since I had to make sure every single connection was correct so the prototype would work seamlessly. After two rounds of QA, we presented the final prototype to the client, which was approved to be handed off to the development team. This is a quick video walkthrough of part of the prototype.
